The Menu
Palomar’s menu includes seafood classics such as Mediterranean sea bass, black tiger shrimp, and lobster, but also other options such as New York strip steak, filet mignon, or lamb chops.

The Bread
Once we were seated and our drinks were delivered, we were presented with a tray of slices of simple grilled bread. Honestly, it was underwhelming and the flavor was bland. The bread was a miss for me. As you can see, I took one bite and set it aside, and I’m a huge bread lover.

Appetizers
For starters, we chose the Thalassini Salata (Seafood Salad) and the Romaine Salad. The seafood salad was tasty, a mixture of shrimp, scallops, calamari, and mussels presented in a mold shape on the plate. The Romaine Salad, while simple, was excellent, garnished with fresh dill and Japanese cucumber with a citrus dressing.

Entrées
Our entrees were the Colossal Black Tiger Shrimp, served with baby wild arugula; the Festoni, scallops served with clams and prosciutto; and Filet Mignon, garnished with herb butter and served with Patates Tiganites (roasted potatoes). All of the dishes were outstanding!

Side Dishes
Along with our entrees, we chose the following sides, all of which were quite good.

Dessert
For dessert, we chose the Valrhona Dark Chocolate Mousse Cake, served with a dark chocolate sorbet and salted caramel popcorn, and the French Apple Tart à la Mode, served in a puff pastry. Both desserts were decadent and absolutely yummy. Of course, I had to swipe a piece of the caramel popcorn from my husband’s dessert; it was too tempting.

The Service
The service at Palomar was very good. Our food was delivered quickly and any requests we made were expedited.
