The Ascent is the newest vessel in Celebrity Cruises‘ fleet, a gorgeous Edge-class ship designed to delight and entertain you. In this post, we will give you a deck-by-deck photo tour of Celebrity Ascent, highlighting most venues you will see.
Not everything is pictured, of course, the post would be too long, but I’ve tried to give you an idea of what you can expect to see when you board the Ascent. You will also be more aware of where to find everything on the ship.

Deck 2
On Deck 2, the lowest deck accessible by passengers, there is only the Destination Gateway, where you pass through to leave or enter the ship for excursions, and the Medical Facility.
Hopefully, you will never need to visit the medical facility onboard, but if you do, this is what you can expect to see. The medical facility can only be accessed by the forward elevators.
Deck 3
Deck 3 is the home of two main restaurants, Normandie and Tuscan, in the aft of the ship. These restaurants are only open for dinner and are complimentary.
Midship you will find Guest Relations (where you can make a payment or sort out a problem), the Captain’s Club (where you can receive information about your loyalty perks), and the Concierge (where you can receive assistance with reservations and the like).
Just past those will be the Grand Plaza, a soaring space for gathering, dancing, classes, competitions, and other entertainment. In the center of the Grand Plaza is the Martini Bar, which offers a nightly show by the bartenders of their juggling and mixology prowess.
In the bow of the ship is the lowest level of the Theater.
Deck 4
Deck 4 is one of the busiest decks of the ship. Starting at the stern, we have Eden, the fabulous specialty restaurant. Moving forward, you will find the main restaurants Cosmopolitan and Cyprus. Cyprus is only open for dinner, but Cosmopolitan is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Midship is the Casino, the Craft Social Bar, and some shops.
Just past those is Le Grand Bistro, a specialty restaurant, and Café al Bacio, a wonderful coffee shop with complimentary sweet bites.
A little further is Le Voyage, a specialty dining experience. The Photo Gallery is available to view photos of you taken by the ship’s photographers, and iLounge is an Apple store.
Moving forward, we have The Club (an entertainment venue), Future Cruise Vacations (where you can book your next cruise), the Photo Studio (where you can have a private photo shoot), the Meeting Place (a conference room), and more shops.
In the bow of the ship is the next level of the Theater.
Deck 5
Just as busy as Deck 4 is Deck 5. Going from the stern and moving forward, we have the middle level of Eden, where you will enter the restaurant, along with the Eden Bar (where you can experience some amazing unique cocktails) and Eden Café (a well-kept secret café that serves breakfast and lunch).
A little further forward, we have the Chocolatier (a handmade French chocolate kiosk), and Blu (a restaurant exclusive to AquaClass passengers), plus more shops.
Midship is a view of the Grand Plaza below, flanked on one side by Fine Cut Steakhouse and Raw on 5 on the other, both specialty restaurants.
Next is the World Class Bar, where you can order cocktails and even take a mixology class.
Past the bar is the upper level of The Club, the Art Gallery (where you can attend art auctions), and a Private Lounge.
In the bow is the top level of the Theater.
Deck 6
Deck 6 is primarily cabins, but in the stern, you will find the very top level of Eden.
Decks 7 Through 13
Decks 7 through 13 all contain only passenger cabins.
Deck 14
The entire rear of Deck 14 is the Oceanview Cafe, the ship’s buffet.
The middle of Deck 14 is where you can find the Pool, Pool Bar, Mast Grill (a casual eatery serving burgers and hot dogs), the Solarium (a relaxing space with an indoor pool and hot tubs), and the Spa Café (which serves healthy food for breakfast and lunch).
The front of Deck 14 has the Spa and Thermal Suite, where you can be pampered.
Deck 15
The aft portion of Deck 15 is the home of the Sunset Bar, followed by the Rooftop Garden Grill (a specialty restaurant), and the Rooftop Garden (an open space with a large movie screen and a pickleball court that also serves as a music venue at night).
The front of the deck contains the Retreat Lounge (exclusive to guests of The Retreat) and the Fitness Center (where you can work off a few of those extra pounds you may have gained onboard).
Deck 16
Deck 16 is where you will find the Jogging Track.
It is also the home of the Magic Carpet, a multi-functional space on a cantilevered platform that can move up and down the ship’s side. When positioned on Deck 2, it serves as an embarkation platform; on Deck 5, the Magic Carpet becomes a bar; and on Deck 14, it is a part of the pool deck.
Moving forward, you will find the Retreat Sundeck and Luminae, the Retreat restaurant, which are only accessible to guests of The Retreat.
Deck 17
Deck 17 is small and contains the Retreat Sundeck, the Retreat Pool, and the Retreat Bar.
