A large part of the cruising experience is dining, both casual and fine. The variety and culinary excellence offered by the Celebrity Ascent restaurants will amaze you, as we learned on our recent sailing. Read on to learn more about each and every one.
In all, there are 18 restaurants aboard the Celebrity Ascent, including 4 complimentary main dining restaurants, 4 complimentary casual dining venues, 8 specialty restaurants, and 2 exclusive restaurants. In addition, 3 of the beverage venues also serve quick bites.

DINING DRESS CODE
The dress code for Celebrity Ascent Restaurants is similar to that of mass-market cruise lines but guests tend to dress a little nicer.
For main dining rooms, specialty restaurants, and exclusive restaurants, smart casual attire is required for dinner, including long pants and closed-toe shoes for men.
For breakfast, lunch, and dinner at other restaurants, casual attire is fine but swimwear and pajamas are not.

COMPLIMENTARY DINING
There are eight complimentary restaurants and eateries on Celebrity Ascent – four elegant main dining rooms and four more casual venues. Each main dining room offers a unique atmosphere and design, but they share similar menus with some distinct dishes.

Cosmopolitan Restaurant
A main dining room, Cosmopolitan features a wide range of international and contemporary dishes. The elegant setting and attentive service complement the diverse menu that caters to a variety of tastes and preferences.
Cosmopolitan is the only main dining room that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Normandie Restaurant

Celebrity Ascent has six specialty dining restaurants, including á la carte restaurants and the ultimate in fine dining establishments. One restaurant is actually two experiences: Le Grand Bistro (lunch) and Le Petit Chef (dinner) share the same space.

The Chef’s Table by Daniel Boulud is a culinary experience not to be missed. Included are welcome champagne and canapés, a five-course meal, a tour of the galley, and more.

The Magic Carpet
A unique dining experience over the water, offering a chef’s choice menu.

Raw on Five
Focusing on fresh seafood and sushi, Raw on Five offers a range of raw dishes, including sashimi, sushi rolls, and other seafood delicacies. The restaurant’s modern design and ocean views enhance the fresh, light menu offerings.

Rooftop Garden Grill
This is an outdoor dining venue that offers a backyard barbecue experience at sea. Located in the Rooftop Garden, Rooftop Garden Grill provides guests with a unique atmosphere surrounded by nature-inspired decor, offering grilled favorites like brisket, steaks, and ribs.

EXCLUSIVE DINING
Celebrity Ascent has two restaurants exclusive to the guests who have booked certain staterooms or suites:
- Blu – exclusive to guests in AquaClass cabins
- Luminae – exclusive to guests in Retreat suites
Blu
Available only to AquaClass guests (and on an as-available basis to Retreat guests), Blu focuses its offerings on healthier and plant-based selections. It also offers traditional options, and is open only for breakfast and dinner. Blu can be found on Deck 5.

Café al Bacio
Located on Deck 4 midship, Café al Bacio not only serves a terrific cappuccino, but it also offers a large selection of free pastries, cakes, and muffins.

The Craft Social Bar, located next to the casino, is primarily known for its finely crafted specialty cocktails, as well as its reputation as a fun place to watch a game on TV. But they also serve elevated small bites, priced á la carte.

Sunset Bar
Most people think of heading to the Sunset Bar to enjoy a refreshing cocktail with a fabulous view from the aft of the ship, and perhaps to enjoy a little music. But did you know they also serve Mediterranean bites? Several options are offered, each priced at $8.00.
