The Equinox is a veteran vessel in Celebrity Cruises‘ fleet, a classic Solstice-class ship designed to delight and entertain you. We have recently returned from a ten-day cruise on the ship and will give you a deck-by-deck photo tour of Celebrity Equinox, highlighting most of the venues you will see.
Not everything is pictured, of course, the post would be too long, but I have tried to give you an idea of what you can expect to see when you board the Equinox. You will also be more aware of what is available on the ship and where to find it.

About The Ship
The Equinox is a Solstice-class ship in the Celebrity fleet. Built in 2009, she was revolutionized in 2019 and is expected to go into dry dock in April 2024. With a capacity of 2,852 passengers, the Equinox is a mid-size ship in the fleet.
Deck 2
On Deck 2, the lowest deck accessible by passengers, there is only the Destination Gateway, which is where you usually pass through to leave or enter the ship for excursions, and the Medical Facility.
Hopefully, you will never need to visit the medical facility onboard, but if you do, now you know where to find it. The medical facility can only be accessed by the main elevators.
Deck 3
Deck 3 is the home of two restaurants: the lower of two levels of the main dining restaurant, Silhouette, and the Retreat restaurant, Luminae, in the aft of the ship. Silhouette is a complimentary main dining room open for three meals a day, and Luminae is a specialty restaurant exclusive to guests of The Retreat.
Midship you will find Guest Relations (where you can make a payment or sort out a problem), Shore Excursions (where you can book or change an excursion), the Grand Foyer (a multipurpose space used for entertainment, competitions, classes, and more), and the Passport Bar.
In the bow of the ship is the lowest level of the Theater, which soars for a total of three decks.
Deck 4
Deck 4 is one of the busiest decks of the ship. Starting at the stern, we have the upper level of the Silhouette main dining room. Moving forward, you will find Craft Social and the Martini Bar on either side of an overlook down into the Grand Foyer. Beyond those bars, you will find the Casino, flanked on one side by shops.
Moving further forward, you will find Future Cruise Vacations (where you can book your next cruise) and Quasar (a fun entertainment venue) on one side, the Entertainment Court in the center, and Celebrity Central (a small theater) on the other side. The next level of the Theater is in the bow.
Deck 5
Just as busy as Deck 4 is Deck 5. Starting at the stern and moving forward, we have Tuscan Grille and Qsine (the home of Le Petit Chef), both specialty restaurants, and Blu, a restaurant exclusive to AquaClass guests.
A little further forward, we have Murano (a specialty restaurant), the Ensemble Lounge (where you can enjoy a drink before dinner in the specialty restaurants), and the Retreat Lounge, which is only for Retreat guests.
Midship is a view of the Grand Foyer below, flanked on one side by Cafe al Bacio and the Gelateria, and Sushi on Five on the other.
Next is the World Class Bar, where you can order cocktails and even take a mixology class.
Past the bar is the Art Gallery (where you can attend art auctions) and the Photo Gallery on one side, and more shops on the other.
In the bow is the top level of the Theater.
Deck 6
Deck 6 is primarily cabins, but midship you will find the Celebrity iLounge, where you can find Apple products to use or purchase.
Deck 7
Deck 7 is also primarily cabins, but midship is Team Earth, a learning center devoted to eco-awareness and how Celebrity’s ships operate. It is also a nice place to relax or to play cards or board games.
Decks 8 Through 9
Decks 8 through 9 all contain only passenger cabins.
Decks 10 and 11
Decks 10 and 11 are devoted primarily to passenger cabins, but midship you can find the Library, a place to find your next book to read or to simply relax.
Deck 12
Deck 12 contains cabins in the stern but is mostly the home of the Pool Deck midship (with two pools, a wet zone, four hot tubs, and seating both in the sun and shade). Next is the Solarium (a large enclosed pool area with two hot tubs). Next to the Solarium is the Spa Café, which serves healthy food for breakfast and lunch.
The Spa and Fitness Center are in the bow.
Deck 13
There is no Deck 13 on some ships, including the Equinox.
Deck 14
The entire stern of Deck 14 is the Oceanview Cafe, the ship’s buffet, which is a complimentary dining venue.
Midship of Deck 14, you can find the Jogging Track, Pool Bar, and Mast Grill (a complimentary casual eatery serving burgers and hot dogs)
In the bow of Deck 14 are the Sky Observation Lounge and the Sky Conference Center, which are not pictured.
Deck 15
The aft portion of Deck 15 is the home of the Sunset Bar (not pictured), the Lawn Club, and the Hot Glass Studio.
The bow portion of Deck 15 contains the X Club (for teens), Camp at Sea (for children), and the basketball court.
Deck 16
Deck 16, located in the bow, is small and reachable only by stairs. It contains the Retreat Sundeck, which is exclusive to Retreat Guests.
