The Celebrity Millennium Royal Suite

You enter through double doors to see through the dining and living areas to the floor-to-ceiling windows that lead to the expansive veranda. The suite on the Millennium is about 538 square feet, almost three times larger than the average balcony cabin.

Dining Area

The dining area has a beautiful table with seating for four—two club chairs and a bench. A large centerpiece is in the center, which is incredibly heavy and hard to move out of your way when dining. I’d suggest that Celebrity replace this with a smaller centerpiece.

To the side is a hot beverage station with an electric teakettle, cups and saucers, coffee, tea, and condiments.

Bar

The stocked bar is a fabulous perk of the Royal Suite. Before the cruise, a shoreside concierge called to ask us what two complimentary liquors we would like it stocked with. We chose top-shelf tequila and vodka. Both still and sparkling water await you, plus an assortment of glassware and an ice bucket that your butler will keep filled.

Beneath the bar is a cabin that holds a mini fridge, which you can have your butler stock with what your heart desires. We had it filled with beer, sodas, tonic water, limes, and orange juice.

Pro Tip: Ask your butler to stock your fridge as you wish. They’ll be happy to provide you with what you want.

Living Area

The living area is expansive, with a couch/chaise combo that hides a sofabed, a leather side chair, an end table with a phone, and an ottoman. Small ottomans to the side of the flatscreen TV allow for extra seating. Behind the chaise is another side chair and small table, next to the slider. A desk with shelves provides the perfect place to plan your day.

Extra storage space is available below the television.

Bedroom

The bedroom of the Celebrity Royal Suite has a queen-size bed (which can be converted to two twins) and two side tables with one drawer each. The bed is made with Celebrity’s eXhale® bedding, featuring plush duvets, 100% pure cotton sheets, and your choice of pillow, from firm to down. The lamps are touch-activated. The small porthole to the side of the bed has a screen that you can lower at night.

Facing your bed is a flatscreen TV, lower cubbies for storage, and a small closet to the side.

Around the corner next to the second door to the veranda is a vanity table and chair.

Between the bedroom and bathroom is a walk-in closet, with plenty of shelving and drawers. One long clothing rod gives enough room for two people’s clothing.

Pro Tip: The bed is high enough off the floor to store your suitcases beneath it while closed, even large ones. For beds that aren’t quite that high, open your suitcase like a book and slide it under. This is a great place to store your clothes after wearing.

Bathroom

The bathroom is a dream come true with double sinks, which are a wonderful luxury in themselves, a glass shower, a toilet, and a fabulous Jacuzzi tub. The mirror is backlit, which I love, plus they also provide a magnifying mirror to the side.

Bigelow body wash, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion are provided in large bottles.

Veranda

At 195 square feet, the veranda is roughly the size of the average veranda cabin. Furniture is plentiful, with a loveseat and coffee table, a side chair, and two padded loungers. In the corner is a whirlpool tub, but we didn’t use it. Being outside, the tub was hard to keep clean, and why use that when we had a Jacuzzi in the bathroom?

Pro Tip: Fill out your room service menu for a light breakfast and coffee the night before and hang it on your doorknob. Your butler will deliver your breakfast the next morning, and you can enjoy it on your balcony, enjoying the ocean view.

Suite Amenities

Amenities of the Celebrity Millennium Royal Suite are a bit more extensive than those of lower suites in The Retreat (all Sky Suites and the Celebrity Suites). Regular Retreat amenities include:

Our stay in the Celebrity Millennium Royal Suite was an amazing experience that we’d love to do again. If you ever get a chance to upgrade to one, do it! You won’t be disappointed.
