Want a day of luxury on your cruise? Look no further than the Norwegian Joy’s Spa, where you can be spoiled and pampered from head to toe.

Mandara Spa is a multinational spa chain that has gained worldwide recognition for its luxurious services and exotic spa treatments. With locations from Disney World to Dubai, it’s known for its ability to provide an indulgent and rejuvenating spa experience to its customers.

The Ambiance

Some of the most popular Mandara Spa locations are the ones on Norwegian Cruise Line’s ships, including Norwegian Joy. Its spa, located on Deck 16 aft, is a serene oasis that provides a haven of relaxation for cruise guests. The moment you walk through the door, you find yourself relaxing with the soft music and intriguing scents.

Norwegian Joy’s Mandara Spa Salon

Norwegian Joy’s spa offers a wide range of services including massages, facials, body wraps, manicures, pedicures, haircuts and styling, and more for both men and women. It also offers Medi-Spa treatments such as acupuncture, IV therapy, and teeth whitening.

We have enjoyed many sessions at the spa. From mani/pedis to massages, we’ve been spoiled and pampered, leaving with a lighter pocketbook but with a smile on our faces. I’m guilty of falling asleep during massages and facials at the spa—they’re that good. In fact, on embarkation day on every cruise we take, I spend the afternoon in the spa enjoying a haircut, manicure, and pedicure. It’s the perfect way to start a cruise!

Pro Tip: The spa offers tours on embarkation day, during which you’ll receive special discount offers. They also have a spa raffle mid-afternoon on that day, so be sure to attend. You could win a generous gift certificate for spa treatments.

Does Norwegian Joy’s Spa Have a Thermal Suite?

Although other Norwegian Cruise Line spas have thermal suites, the Joy unfortunately does not yet. It does, however, have a sauna and a steam room in both the male and female locker rooms, which you can enjoy before or after your spa treatment free of charge.

However, a new upfit to the Joy coming in January and February 2024 will create a large thermal suite include more heated tile loungers than ever, plus a sauna, ice room and aromatic steam room.

Does the spa have a fitness center?

A state-of-the-art spa fitness center is located on Deck 17 aft, equipped with a range of equipment including treadmills, stationary bikes, and weight machines. Guests can work out with a personal trainer, take a group fitness class, or work out on their own.

The Spa’s Hours and Appointments

Norwegian Joy’s spa is open daily from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., except on the last night of each cruise when it is open until 9 p.m. Appointments aren’t available pre-cruise and must be made onboard.

Pro Tip: Head to the spa on embarkation day and make your appointments for the week. Space is limited, so the sooner you book, the better chance you have to be successful getting the times and days you want.
