If you’re thinking of booking a suite in the Haven on Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) and aren’t sure if the upcharge is worth the cost, let me assure you, it is. We have stayed in several Haven suites, and the perks of the Haven on NCL are amazing.
Here are some of the amenities that come with Haven suites. I’ve also included videos if you’d like more information.
Stateroom Amenities
Your Haven stateroom will be spacious and luxurious, featuring Bliss bedding on a king-size pillow-top mattress.
Plush robes and slippers and umbrellas are located in your closet, available for your use. Storage is plentiful, and so are clothes hangers.
Your bathroom will be luxurious, complete with L’Occitane lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. Your stateroom attendant will keep it stocked with fresh towels.
Butler and Stateroom Service
One of the best perks of the Haven, your butler will be available for any special needs you may have. They will also bring you special treats each afternoon, canapés both sweet and savory. If you fill out a breakfast order or ask for morning coffee, your butler will be the person delivering it the next morning, complete with white tablecloth service. They will also keep your ice bucket filled with ice.
If you want your bed made a different way or need more clothes hangers or towels, ask your stateroom attendant. Your team is there to help you with whatever needs you might have.

Concierge Service
Before you go to Guest Services with a problem, request, or question, check with your concierge team first. They are there to help with questions you may have about an excursion or assistance with making or changing a reservation. If you have a problem with your bill, they can also assist with that as well.
At least one concierge is always available and can be found at their desk in the Haven lounge area.
The Horizon Lounge
Another of the perks of the Haven is the Horizon Lounge. Available on the Joy, Bliss, and Encore, the Horizon Lounge is a private place for Haven guests to enjoy a cocktail with friends before dinner, relax and read a book, pick up a cappuccino to take back to your cabin, or stop by for an afternoon snack.
If you want a quiet place to get away from it all, the Horizon Lounge is the perfect place. Plus, the view through all the huge windows at the bow of the ship is stunning.
The Haven Restaurant
The Haven’s private restaurant is truly special. Your restaurant manager and waiter will pamper you, remembering your special needs. If you have special dietary considerations, tell your waiter on the first night, and you’ll be consulted on how best to help you. The Haven Restaurant is fine dining at its best…you won’t find a better meal onboard.
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served. At breakfast, an extensive continental breakfast buffet is also provided. Reservations are not required.
The Haven Courtyard and Sundeck
The Haven Courtyard has two levels, a lower level with a pool and hot tubs, and an upper level with loungers. An attendant is available to provide towels, cocktails, or snacks.
The Sundeck wraps around the upper level of the courtyard, providing loungers, hot tubs, and conversational seating.
The Haven Bar
At the Haven Bar, the bartenders will offer you drink service that’s second to none.
Want a special cocktail? Your Haven bartender can make it. If they don’t have the ingredients, they will go out of their way to get them for you. Want a few sodas or juice to take back to your room? You’ll find them at the Haven Bar.
This type of specialized service is part of what makes the Haven so special.
Booking Benefits
When you book a suite in the Haven, it will include Wi-Fi and a premium beverage package. Haven gratuities are charged separately and are $25 per person per day.
Other Benefits
Other benefits that come with the Haven are priority embarkation and disembarkation (including during excursions), priority tendering, and reserved seating at shows.
